Kiki Hamann is an artist, designer, and storyteller whose work moves between painting, fashion, decorative objects, and imagined worlds. Her distinctive visual language combines romance, humor, nostalgia, expressive characters, and an enduring fascination with the small details that give things personality.

Born in Rio de Janeiro to a Danish family, Kiki grew up in Canada and later studied in New York City. Her life and work have moved through different places, disciplines, and creative chapters, from Houston to South Florida, each adding another layer to an aesthetic that has never belonged comfortably to a single category.

Painting remains at the heart of her practice. Her work ranges from expressive women and animals to richly imagined characters and environments, often combining a vintage sensibility with contemporary wit. Kiki has long described her creative process as “painting with words and writing with images”—story and image developing together rather than as separate things.

That instinct eventually grew beyond the canvas. Through Kiki Colors, she creates complete visual worlds and carries their artwork, characters, and stories onto objects meant to be lived with, worn, given, and collected. Some are elegant. Some are whimsical. Some are deliberately ridiculous. All begin with an idea and a point of view.

Across the different forms her work takes, one principle remains constant: details are love.
