Chapter 1: Fashion Design—Where It All Started
I kicked off my career in fashion and interior design, totally geeking out over patterns and textiles. That’s where collections like Designers Tribute come from—fancy vibes with a playful twist, because who doesn’t love a little luxury? Then there’s Toile de Jouy, my French obsession, plus Buffalo Plaid on Farmhouse Elves and Paisley on Flower Child. I mean, who knew plaid could be so chic? I did, apparently!

Chapter 2: Storybook Dreams
As a children’s book author and illustrator, I got to dream up magical worlds—and let me tell you, I had a blast making them funny! My Ladybugs, Bee Happy, and Storybook Fairies collections are all about that whimsy, with a side of giggles. Think ladybugs throwing a picnic where everyone forgets the snacks, or fairies getting tangled in their own sparkles. My favorite character, Alzira Zulmira, was always up to some silly mischief—like the time she tried to fly with butterfly wings and ended up in a flowerpot! My artist days were all about color, thanks to my Grandpa Hugo’s studio, La Maison du Peintre. I can still smell the paint! Okay, maybe I’ve watched too many art documentaries, but you get the idea.

Chapter 6: Ocean Waves and Bird Songs
I grew up in Rio, and now I’m in Miami, so the ocean’s basically my second home. My Beach Puppies and ocean-themed collections are all about that salty air and sandy toes. Birds sneak in there too—think freedom and a little bit of sass. I swear I hear the waves calling me—okay, maybe that’s just my neighbor’s sprinkler, but you get the vibe!

Chapter 10: Starry-Eyed in Space City
Living in Houston—Space City—and Florida, where rockets launch like it’s no big deal, gave me all the starry-eyed feels. That’s where my “To the Moon and Back” Valentine’s Day blankets come from—tiny astronauts on the moon, dreaming big. It’s for anyone who’s ever looked up at the sky and thought, “What if?”

Chapter 11: Coffee, My True Love
I’ve always been a coffee nut, and working with Brazilian coffee only made it worse—in a good way! The Coffee Emporium collection is my ode to that love, with vintage baristas serving up espresso like it’s 1950. It’s for anyone who gets why a good cup of coffee is basically a hug in a mug. No coffee snobs here, though—I’ll take a gas station brew in a pinch!

Chapter 12: Dog Mom Days
And then there’s the chapter that’s closest to my heart: being a Dog Mom to Vivi, my one-year-old Yorkie, and Bubba, her dreamy sidekick. They’ve inspired so much of my work, from Pet Bowls with vintage bibs to Beach Puppies sandals. They’re my little muses, always by my side, whether I’m sketching or sipping coffee. They remind me that the best things in life are the ones that wag their tails and steal your heart.
